We offer great opportunities for volunteers
at North Eastern Community Hospital and Nursing Home. Volunteering
in the
Hospital or Nursing Home gives you the opportunity to meet
new people, enjoy social interaction, learn new skills
or use current skills, help and support others in their
time of need.
Roles of volunteers
We have various roles for volunteers
throughout the Hospital and Nursing Home, they include:
•
Kiosk – serving customers who purchase various
items such as refreshments or gifts, etc
• Clerical Assistance – collating patient charts,
along with other various duties
• Nursing Home – taking residents on outings, helping
with crafts/activities, etc
North Eastern Community Hospital and Nursing Home
have a large team of volunteers who provide wonderful support, comfort and
assistance to patients and residents.
What is required by
our volunteers?
•
A donation of your time and enthusiasm on an ongoing or casual
basis to assist our patients, residents, visitors and staff.
• To undergo a recruitment process and provide two character
referees.
• A police clearance certificate
• During the recruitment process, we will discuss your availability,
preferred role and current volunteer vacancies.

Our auxiliary is seeking
volunteers, to help us with the following:
•
Kiosk – serving customers who purchase various
items such as refreshments or gifts, etc
• Nursing Home - taking residents on outings, helping with
crafts/activities, etc
• Auxiliary Committee - members for the Auxiliary Committee,
meetings held 3rd Monday of each month at 8pm.
