North Eastern Community Hospital welcomes
visitors to the hospital and recognises their importance
to our patients. However, to facilitate rest periods, individual
wards have specified times during which visiting is not encouraged. Visiting
hours are as follows:
| |
|
 |
Steele & Torrens Ward Level
1 |
11.00 am – 8.00 pm |
Maternity Ward Level 2
(Husbands/Partners
unrestricted) |
2.00 pm – 3.30 pm
6.30 pm – 8.00 pm |
Nursing Home Campbell Ward and Payneham
Ward
(Dementia Unit
Ground Floor Hospital)
|
11.00 am – 8.00 pm |
Visiting hours outside of these hours
is at the discretion of the registered nurse caring for the
patient. It would be appreciated
if:
•
•
•
|
Children who are visiting are closely supervised and
not permitted to wander freely around the hospital
Noise be kept to a minimum
Visitors and children suffering from colds, flu and other contagious
ailments should consider waiting until recovery before visiting the hospital |
In
the maternity unit we encourage our new mothers to get as much rest as possible
and to facilitate this we ask visitors (excluding husbands and siblings)
if possible to only visit in visiting hours. This allows
our mothers to spend
time with their
baby and their husbands/partners, to be seen by their doctor, to attend education
sessions on caring for their baby and most importantly to rest.
