Welcome to the North Eastern Community Hospital

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISITORS AND PATIENTS

As of  THURSDAY THE 2nd OF NOVEMBER 2023, surgical masks will be reinstated for patient/clinical facing staff in the Hospital and Aged Care.

There has been a 50% increase in the number of patients hospitalised with COVID since the beginning of October 2023 which is an indicator of increased transmission in the community.

This change includes all visitors and patients attending for procedures who will need to wear surgical masks.  Signage to reflect the change in policy will be placed at the main entrance, reception and admission areas.

We advise that this decision will be reviewed in early 2024, and we intend to only be in masks for a short period of time as a circuit breaker.

IF YOU HAVE ANY COLD OR FLU SYMPTOMS, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE HOSPITAL OR AGED CARE ensuring we keep our patients and residents as safe as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation.
