Free Accommodation in Adelaide
For privately insured country patients receiving treatment from a specialist at North Eastern Community Hospital.
A home away from home
North Eastern Community Hospital has long been a hospital of choice for country patients.
We think that’s because country patients may prefer to receive treatment at a small, family-friendly hospital where staff really get to know their patients.
We also know that it’s not easy to travel long distances to Adelaide for surgery or to have a baby and then have to find costly accommodation in the city.
That’s why we are offering country families referred to visiting NECH specialists free accommodation adjacent the hospital*.
How it works
Accommodation is subject to availability and offered on a ‘first in best dressed’ basis.
NECH will charge patients a nominal fee of $40 per night for cleaning and maintenance. This is the same amount eligible country patients will be reimbursed by SA Health under the Patient Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS), meaning there will be no out-of-pocket cost for patients eligible under the scheme.
If you require treatment ask your GP for a referral to a North Eastern Community Hospital specialist today.
