John Capaldo has been the Managing Director of Glynde Mitre 10 since 1997. The family run business was established by his parents in 1953 and is Adelaide’s oldest continually run hardware store. The family also has interests in real property and construction.
John has over 30 years’ experience in economic modelling, management accounting and budgeting. His areas of expertise are: customer relationship management, business planning and strategy, finance, and marketing.
John is a keen supporter and promoter of the Leukaemia Foundation and Variety SA, The Children’s Charity. He is the Deputy Presiding Member of the Glynde Corner Precinct Committee, a council committee dedicated to supporting and attracting businesses to the area.
John was born, raised and educated in the eastern suburbs and is actively involved in the local community, including North Eastern Community Hospital.
He was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2015 and has been a member of the North Eastern Community Hospital Board since 2008.
Steven Simionato is a Partner of Deloitte in Adelaide and has over 20 years’ experience working with privately owned businesses and not-for-profit organisations, He specialises in the areas of business advisory, financial analysis, business strategy, budgeting, forecasting and compliance.
Steven is a graduate of the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) Degree and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
He is currently Chair of the Finance Committee which is primarily responsible for the finance function and financial performance of the North Eastern Community Hospital.
He was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2015 and has been a member of the North Eastern Community Hospital Board since 2009.
Dr Richard Johnson MB BS FRACP
Dr Johnson commenced his position as Senior Visiting
Medical Specialist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 1985 and is actively involved in Clinical Research for new treatments for viral hepatitis. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Adelaide and has a busy Private Practice as a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist.
Dr Johnson has been a member of the North Eastern Community Hospital board since 2001 and brings to the Board 40 years of experience and knowledge of working in public and private hospitals in Australia and the UK.
He was appointed Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee in 2005 and was Chairman of the Board of Directors between 2010 and 2015.
Angela is the General Manager for Helping Hand Aged Care in South Australia. Her role encompasses independent living options for older people, housing, community based packages of care (including CDC), residential care and dementia care. She is responsible for residential services, serving 600 residents and over 7000 clients through community based services.
Angela completed her PhD research in the area of innovation in the care of older people with chronic disease and the relationship of innovation to policy.
Angela has over 25 years’ experience in managing a range community services focused on improving the health and wellbeing of older people.
Her previous roles include:
Chief Operating Officer for RDNS which provides a range of health and community support services.
Leading the State-wide Clinical Service Re-design program to improve the care of older people and people with chronic disease; with NSW Health.
Angela has been a member of the North Eastern Community Hospital Board since 2013.
Michael Auciello is the Chief pharmacist and managing Senior Partner of Chemist King Hectorville. He has 20 years of experience in the health care industry and AACP accredited since 1996. His areas of expertise are Pharmacy, Healthcare, finance & business.
He is a Senior Business partner of the ChemCentral Pharmacy group which owns and operates a group of pharmacies in metropolitan and rural South Australia.
Michael was born and raised in the eastern suburbs and is an active member of the eastern Adelaide community. His group of companies are major sponsors and supporters of local sporting and community based establishments. He contributes to a weekly community radio pharmacy programme that aims to help its listeners better understand their medications.
Michael has been a member of the North Eastern Community Hospital Board since 2004.
Karina Cosoff spent over 18 years as a commercial lawyer in private practice. During that time she advised a broad range of businesses from large multinational corporations through to small to medium enterprises.
Karina has a broad commercial knowledge and has had significant involvement in the construction, engineering and property industries.
Karina is a graduate of The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (with honours).
Karina has been a member of the North Eastern Community Hospital Board since February 2015.
Julian has held a number of senior leadership roles over twenty five years in professional, commercial and government business enterprises including time working interstate and overseas. He is currently the Chief Executive of UnitingCare Wesley Bowden Inc. a community services provider delivering a range of services to a diverse cohort of consumers throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area.
Julian has a keen interest in improving services within the community sector with a focus upon innovation and continuous improvement of consumer centred service models to expand accessibility to such services for consumers within a framework that ensures long term viability.
As a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Julian also has experience in the development of Board governance policy and practices facilitating Boards to contribute effectively to strategic direction setting in environments where government policy, community expectations and business conditions are constantly changing.
Past Board roles have included the Statewide Superannuation Trust, State Council of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia and the Westside Housing Association
He has been a member of the North Eastern Community Hospital Board since December 2015.
Cathy Reid is a dermatologist and principal of a medical practice at St Peters and she has over 30 years experience in the public and private health sectors.
She has been Head of Dermatology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Honorary Secretary of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and, since 2013 she has been a member of the Medical Board of South Australia.
