Those of you who recently visited us or passed by North Eastern Community Hospital may have noticed some unusual activity on the roof of our facility and wondered what we were up to this time…
Well, the answer is simple: we are going solar. At least partly. Solar panels are being installed that will cover some 20% of our electricity needs.
This move toward renewable energy is part of our ongoing effort to go greener and reduce our carbon footprint. It adds to our award-winning water purifying system (ecas4).
But more than a simple gesture for the future of our planet, we also have the improvement of our services to the community in mind, as always. The savings this new installation will generate will be invested in new equipment’s and upgrades to the hospital and aged care facility.
Being a community service, we did not forget to seek expert advice and expertise from Zen Energy, an Adelaide-based company, for the realisation of our project.
