The State Government has relaxed a number of restrictions on aged care homes. Changes include:
– There is no longer a restriction to the number of visits a resident receives on a particular day
– Individuals providing nursing, personal care, allied health and medical services no longer need to wear a surgical mask
– Single site workers are still recommended but the provider may use discretion if unable to fill rostered shifts
VISITING ARRANGEMENTS AT NECH’S AGED CARE HOME
In light of the changes and to ensure visits are undertaken safely and in compliance with the new Government direction:
– Visiting hours remain 11:00am-1:00pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm daily
– Only two visitors may be in a resident’s room at any given time during visiting hours to ensure 1.5 metre distancing occurs
– All visits are to continue in the resident’s room only unless another area is approved by the Clinical Manager/Aged Care Director
– External social outings/gatherings are still encouraged
– COVID-19 screening will continue at the Campbell and Payneham Wing entrances
